  19. Since the version of 25-09-1995 there has been a change to the configs
  20.  
  21. the screenmode settings for the "Control" program have been moved from
  22. BBSGlobal to HBBS:System/Data/CtrlScrPrefs.CFG,  the settings themselves
  23. are the same.
  24.  
  25. There is also a seperate program that lets you pick a screenmode and it
  26. saves the results out to the above file.
  27.  
  28. Note: HBBS WILL NOT RUN WITHOUT THE FILE, so I've added a call to
  29. HBBS:Utils/Select_Mode in the SetupAssigns just in case you don't read
  30. this :-)

  35. ** Starting Up **
  36.  
  37. First thing you gotta do after unarchiving is to run the script called
  38. "SetupAssigns" found in the same directory as this.  Just double click
  39. it from workbench...
  40.  
  41. Next you should look at the following files and settings in them
  42.  
  43. HBBS:BBSGlobal
  44. HBBS:Nodes/NodeGlobal
  45. HBBS:Nodes/NodeX/NodeLocal
  46. HBBS:Nodes/NodeX/Device
  47.  
  48. (pay paticular attention to SerialDevice= in the "device" file)
  49.  
  50. The configs have been set up for 4 nodes, all using the nullmodem.device
  51. except node 1 which uses the USRSerial.device
  52. to chage this a) read the docs then b) edit the files located in
  53. HBBS:Nodes/NodeX/Device...
  54.  
  55. Then to start up the system double click on the "CONTROL" icon and a screen
  56. should pop up..

  60. To start a node, select the node from the list of nodes on the left hand side
  61. and either a) double click it, or b) click the start button just to the right
  62. of the listview
